What's changed
With the first version of the plugin, a Shopify shop activates ARShades experiences without writing any code.
- Guided set-up A five-step process activates the licence, creates the catalogue, links the products and matches the colours to the brand.
- Products linked automatically The plugin recognises the shop's products that already have their 3D model in the ARShades Library and attaches them to your catalogue.
- Virtual try-on in the online shop The try-on button is added from the theme editor to product pages and collections, with the colours and text of your choice.
- 3D view and pupillary distance The customer can rotate the frame in 3D, see it in augmented reality on compatible devices and measure their own pupillary distance.
- Usage data in analytics Virtual try-ons and 3D views are logged, so the shop can see how customers use the experiences.
Why it matters
If you sell on Shopify, virtual try-on comes to your shop without a development project. Products link to the 3D models you already have in ARShades. The customer tries frames on, views them in 3D and measures their pupillary distance, right in your shop.
