What's changed
The new v3 engine for 3D Viewer is now available, improving how lenses and transparent materials are rendered.
- Tinted and gradient lenses The new engine renders the colour, gradient and depth of lenses instead of showing them as flat surfaces.
- Layered transparency Transparent parts remain visible when placed one behind another, with each layer contributing to the final image.
- More realistic acetate Transparent acetate frames also benefit from the improved material rendering.
- Frames with two clip-ons Frames with two clip-ons show every step, from attaching and swapping to removing them, with the frame always centred.
- Quality that adapts to each device Image quality adapts to the device, with specific fixes for Mac and Android phones.
Why it matters
The new engine shows the distinctive colour, gradient and transparency of lenses and acetate frames more clearly. Anyone viewing the glasses in 3D can compare finishes and clip-on combinations with a more faithful representation of the product.
